Celebrate…

…with colors!

Celebrate-tiny

A rising stigma surrounded by
THE FILAMENTS and THE ANTHERS
are hosting this celebration!

These delicate and loving hosts
lightly powder all guests with
“kisses of golden pollen”.

I love your poem Lisa and your art goes with it so well. Which came first? The poem or the art?

The painting came first and then the writing.
I have written many poems for these “Botánicas”. I would love to have them published into a book or something. At this point I’ve made about 50 pieces 🙂

Oh my gosh! I had never thought of filaments and anthers in this way, but now that I’ve seen this, I will forever be seeing tiny cupcakes in each and every blossom! This is something to celebrate, for sure!

When I take the time to look and to really see and to apply my "foolish" imagination, there are worlds within worlds within worlds to be discovered.

When I allow my eyes to be excited and fascinated and pleased at what they see, I begin a journey, inventing a path to the place I choose to go; and magic happens!
