How temporal
your life is
little May Fly…

Today here and
gone tomorrow…

For this you are
called éphémère!

"Éphémère" e-Stamp
• fused "glass – illustration" printed as an archival pigment print, 100% rag paper

The lifespan of an adult mayfly can vary from just 30 minutes to one day depending on the species.
It
belongs to the group 1 taxa of pollution–sensitive animals, this means
if mayflies are in or around water. it is good quality water.
They are the oldest of the extant (still living) winged insects. Due to their short lifespan they are also called the "day fly"  or the "ephemeral fly" in some languages.

    Lisa,
Fascinating about the May Fly – a lifespan of only 30 minutes? Wow! Just wanted to respond to your post on my blog about the E-Stamps. You can go to any of the E-Stamp pages (only 3 campaigns still running – Keith, Al and Jimmy), and click the “Post to Blog” button above the E-Stamp. It’ll give you code to copy, and then you can post it on your own blog! Hope this helps…let me know if you have any problems.
So, when are you coming to Chicago? Looking forward to meeting you and introducing you to Micah. 🙂

    Lisa,
Your bugs are the ONLY ones I really love! They look great as glassworks AND artworks.
    Best,
    Carol

When I take the time to look and to really see and to apply my "foolish" imagination, there are worlds within worlds within worlds to be discovered.

When I allow my eyes to be excited and fascinated and pleased at what they see, I begin a journey, inventing a path to the place I choose to go; and magic happens!
