An ornament…

The nut doesn’t reveal the tree it contains.

Inner Gem by Lisa Rivas

Nuts are a big part of many holiday celebrations, whether it’s pecan pie, chestnut stuffing
or just a handful of mixed nuts grabbed at the office party.

Do not be afraid to go out on a limb … That’s where the fruit is.

I had never heard this quote about going out on a limb, very interesting thought.
I really like this sketch. Merry Christmas.

Merry Christmas, Lisa!!!! I hope Santa brought you everything you wished for. Meeting you this year and enjoying your incredible art has been a true gift for me. This Inner Gem piece is a work of genius. I love how the background looks like a mosaic of nuts. Yes, I feel like I climbed out on a limb and found you (but I’m not calling you a nut). 🙂

Thank you for the greeting, Lisa. I haven’t been able to visit any of my favorite illustration/ art blogs lately because I’ve been so busy 🙁 But I want you to know that I always like visiting your blog. There are always beautiful things to see and read here 🙂 Merry Christmas to you and have a wonderful new year! 🙂

Art Statement

When I take the time to look and to really see and to apply my "foolish" imagination, there are worlds within worlds within worlds to be discovered.

When I allow my eyes to be excited and fascinated and pleased at what they see, I begin a journey, inventing a path to the place I choose to go; and magic happens!
