Off shoots…

…like limbs or arms, they reach and embrace,
rising from the main axis or central trunk.
Stems that extend “opposite” from
or enter into a main body or source,
like many streams flowing.
They are part of a complex body as
members are related in a family.
Ramifying further into leaves,
buds, blossoms and fruits.

The excessive increase of anything
causes a reaction in the opposite direction. Plato

Instinct must be thwarted just as one prunes the branches of a tree so that it will grow better.

"Storytelling E-Stamps"
from posted artwork with a little "story to tell" or with a narrative flavor!

"Perhaps" in my mind I can roam and fly over to that "haven"…

If more of us valued food and cheer and song above hoarded gold, it would be a merrier world.

Sustainer…

This root is holding fast
providing nutrition and stability.
It is an anchor to the ground and
a force in search of water and food.

Keeping away from drought it seeks and grows.
It may crack foundations, snap waterlines
and lift sidewalks to find the water and permanence.

But it could also protect this environment by holding in our soil
and preventing it’s impoverishment by erosion.

…dance for yourself!

June 18, 2008 · 2 Comments

we dance for laughter, we dance for tears,
we dance for madness, we dance for fears,
we dance for hopes, we dance for screams,
we are the dancers,
… for we create the dreams!

Art Statement

When I take the time to look and to really see and to apply my "foolish" imagination, there are worlds within worlds within worlds to be discovered.

When I allow my eyes to be excited and fascinated and pleased at what they see, I begin a journey, inventing a path to the place I choose to go; and magic happens!
