The lifespan of an adult mayfly can vary from just 30 minutes to one day depending on the species.
It
belongs to the group 1 taxa of pollution–sensitive animals, this means
if mayflies are in or around water. it is good quality water.
They are the oldest of the extant (still living) winged insects. Due to their short lifespan they are also called the "day fly"  or the "ephemeral fly" in some languages.

Who is Roy G. Biv?

Fly-Buzz by LisaRivas

Color is the visible manifestation
of light’s wavelength.
Roy G. Biv is a mnemonic*
for the sequence of hues in
the visible spectrum, in rainbows,
and in order from longest
to shortest wavelength:

Red, Orange, Yellow, Green,

Blue, Indigo and Violet.

White light contains all colors, a “PRISM” can divide the colors and make them appear!

Combining image layers with different blending modes,
in graphic applications will have similar “visible spectrum” effects!

*Mnemonic is something intended to assist the memory, as a verse or formula.

Mnemosyne the name of the goddess of memory in Greek mythology.
Zeus and Mnemosyne slept together for nine consecutive nights and thereby created the nine Muses.

Art Statement

When I take the time to look and to really see and to apply my "foolish" imagination, there are worlds within worlds within worlds to be discovered.

When I allow my eyes to be excited and fascinated and pleased at what they see, I begin a journey, inventing a path to the place I choose to go; and magic happens!
