Nerves…

October 20, 2008 · 6 Comments

Nervous

Into_focus-details
eyes fluttering

out on a string

dilated pupils

frozen stare

chattering teeth

submersed in fear

deep anxiety

sidelong glance

a sweet fakery

peeking just so

in gray shadows

nerve racking

hung in suspense

between whispers

sweating bullets

racing palpitations

uncertain drama

skeptical illusions

shaking knees

resounding tics

blinking lights

among the folds

drowning gasps

and swept tears

I’m drawn to this. Compelling colors and mysterious composition. I’m having a hard time deciding what exactly it is about (besides irrational fear.)

Wow! Flying Colors. You did it again!
    This was so well executed.
    Excellent masterpiece.
So many colors & details in this piece.
I wonder you took how long to finish it?
    Loving them…
So great…I love the light worked miracle here into focus.
I think “Into Focus” should be exhibited not just in the Art Gallery but in the Art Museum too.

    Beautiful rich colours.
I wish I could see your work for real as I am sure I am missing some of the beauty of the texture.
I am fascinated by your materials. How thick is the ricepaper?

Thank you for your comment Doda!
The ricepaper I use is called Okawara, it is about 50 grm paper and measures 36″ x 72″

Very flexible and resilient it withstands many layers of watercolor.
In my case there are about 15 layers.
    Have a great day 🙂

Art Statement

When I take the time to look and to really see and to apply my "foolish" imagination, there are worlds within worlds within worlds to be discovered.

When I allow my eyes to be excited and fascinated and pleased at what they see, I begin a journey, inventing a path to the place I choose to go; and magic happens!
