An error does not become truth by reason of multiplied propagation,
nor does truth become error because nobody sees it. ~ Mohandas Gandhi

SPRINGTIME
Oh, spring came to my garden
And caught it unaware
Wearing just a few old leaves
And a dejected air.
But when spring left my garden,
Its work so deftly done,
Many, many Daffodils
Were dancing in the sun.
~ Velma D. Bates
It simply blew me away!!!
But then I recall one night when you were fresh out of art school ..the two of us went to Mama Mia’s and you sat and stared for ages at the ugly red plastic roses on our table. When you said, “I’m going to paint this” I recall grimacing inside …I couldn’t believe you. But some days later, when I saw the work I was speechless. Stunned. Awed at such talent in one so young (or any age at all).
Now, after all these years, looking at the masterpieces you have given the world (at such a cost to your health even!) I can only shake my head and thank God for such vision and beauty in this world .
Lovely image and I like the poem too!
the colors are gorgeous!! beautiful work!
Beautiful and well crafted, the quote by Gandhi is so wise.
I love the contrast between the warm red and the lines in the flowers, and the misty blue background. Beautiful!
very, very beautiful!
