This is one of my day jobs, illustrating & drawing maps. At times these maps can get very intricate and they have to be clear and precise, a design challenge at times.
Vector graphics is the use of geometrical primitives such as points, lines, curves, and shapes or polygon(s), which are all based upon mathematical equations, to represent images in computer graphics.
I can change the color of strokes (lines) or fills with the an action click! At the right is a wire image of the 2 color map below, it is a vector drawing.
I am always open for this kind of work.

The map is not the territory.

HOley moley! now that is intricate! and awesome.
Really beautiful & intricate Lisa!
Reminds me of my previous job and I did’t do this but my co-workers did.
I did this a few times only with photoshops in the office if they need a helping hand:)
Superb works of art in themselves. Would look stunning framed as a series.
I have always admired these kinds of maps. I have always wanted to do something similar regarding our property. Of course I am not precise or mathematically correct so it would be more of a rendering. Nice job on this one.
awesome and another wonderful side of you!
wonderful work Lisa…very intricate!!
I see the beauty in these! I was a biochemical design engineer for 14 yrs., designing facilities to make pharmaceuticals. I looked at so many piping and instrumentation diagrams….I never thought of them as art. But now, I’m thinking of painting something using that inspiration!
How cool is this??? Awesome!
Very attractive! And one of my favorite quotes. I hadn’t known to whom it was attributed.
How Lovely! Amazing how one person’s map is another’s art! I love your vision!
Wow that IS intricate. do you do it with Illustrator? Hmmmm, it reminds me of how my brain must look. very very busy…. Still, It looks great. You are very good at this kind of thing!
I am a map lover! I love the clean lines and details. Housing development maps, especially, always seem so full of hopes and dreams. The detail here is beautiful. I love it!
oh my goodness, ONE of your day jobs…these are spectacular. certainly intricate.
Hi Lisa, did not know about this “day job” talent of yours–but now I do, and shall recommend you when I can.
