We got snow!

February 28, 2008 · Leave a Comment

…not to even compare with Up North!
But we “finally” did get some snow and I ran outside to get some data to show you.
Well to make things dramatic there was no drama, there was hardly any snow left!

The pansies, bulbs were all fine, they were in “the renascence phase” doing their thing.
So then I took a picture of the Hawthorn Bush next door…
…for it was “the best show” around and I secretly coveted it.
Well now it’s not a secret anymore.

Well here it is with a photoshop snow effect and illustrator enhanced flowers!

So that is the extent of
“the snow story” for now and I’m sticking with it!

CARL JUNG said that a mandala symbolizes “a safe refuge of inner reconciliation and wholeness.”
It is “a synthesis of distinctive elements in a unified scheme representing the basic nature of existence.”

Multiple Fruit…

February 25, 2008 · Leave a Comment

A dandelion has a composite flower head consisting of many tiny ray-flowers called florets…
This flower head in botanical terms becomes a “multiple fruit” since each floret produces a single fruit or seed.

Mini parachutes…

The dandelion‘s florets… can change into the well known “white gossamer”
seed-ball overnight.

Then each seed has it’s own tiny built-in parachute to fly far and near…

Art Statement

When I take the time to look and to really see and to apply my "foolish" imagination, there are worlds within worlds within worlds to be discovered.

When I allow my eyes to be excited and fascinated and pleased at what they see, I begin a journey, inventing a path to the place I choose to go; and magic happens!
