Atonement-dt1

A wise old owl sat in an oak;

The more he saw the less he spoke;

The less he spoke the more he heard;

Why aren't we like that wise old bird?

Edward Hersey Richards (b. 1874)

Never mistake knowledge for wisdom.
One helps you make a living; the other helps you make a life.

    Ooooh, very haunting and intriguing. Love it! And I’m smiling at your beautiful eggplants, too. That’s what I seek right now, balance.

    You are right Lisa,
    we all need to be like the old bird, be a good observer & listener.
    I always have problem with this, I am gladful that I acknowledge my weakness on this. I slowly gather info and be more observance too. I am still learning to be a better person.
    Thanks for your sharing and good reminder Lisa.
    Your “Wise” piece is full of wisdom, the colours and the textures have set a sentimental and calm mood here, allowing us to stop by longer for a ponder.
    It’s a choice for knowledge or wisdom.
    I just hope that both are with us, so that we could make a comfortable living and celebrate a true happiness both on earth & heavenly:)

Art Statement

When I take the time to look and to really see and to apply my "foolish" imagination, there are worlds within worlds within worlds to be discovered.

When I allow my eyes to be excited and fascinated and pleased at what they see, I begin a journey, inventing a path to the place I choose to go; and magic happens!
