Tomato Art Fest…

August 7, 2008 · 4 Comments

…is a celebrated neighborhood festival in East Nashville, TN.
It started as a theme for an art show five years ago and this year’s festival will be held this weekend on Friday and Saturday, Aug. 8 and 9.

For the festival I devised a commemorative –Tomato Art Fest– “e-Stamp” that will be premiering tomorrow Friday. It will be available for purchase at Z’s Deli where the “Web–eStamp EXPO” is still showing. Or at the “Art and Invention Gallery” and also here.

Diners can celebrate East Nashville’s Tomato Art Fest Saturday, Aug. 9 while enjoying a feast for the tummy, eyes, and ears. Z’s Deli will be serving up tomato treats and on Saturday The Real Time Trio will be hosting its second Annual Blues Jam from noon-4 p.m. Local musicians will sign up prior to the festival and sit in with each other and play some low down blues.
Z’s Deli, located at:
1000 Main St., Suite 103, in the Walnut Exchange Building
Nashville, TN 37207 • Ph: (615) 226-5686

The stamp is absolutely beautiful! I’ll look around for it while I’m fighting the crowds at A&I today (I have work there, too)

I was at the Art Festival! I’m sad I didn’t get to see you there. It was such a fun day, no? This was my second time, and I want to make it an annual tradition!

Art Statement

When I take the time to look and to really see and to apply my "foolish" imagination, there are worlds within worlds within worlds to be discovered.

When I allow my eyes to be excited and fascinated and pleased at what they see, I begin a journey, inventing a path to the place I choose to go; and magic happens!
