…a gift for you!

September 15, 2008 · 13 Comments

The spine of this little notebook is like the trunk of a tree.
It will hold and carry the precious gems, seeds and fruits
from your mind, heart and hands!

A book is a gift you can open again and again. Garrison Keillor

    Lisa,
Well, I just survived 3 days and nights of rain. Thank goodness no flooding in my neighborhood.
I missed out on your last give-away, but I’m determined to participate in this one for Grove for Fruit which beautiful. I can envision my name on it.
It’s intricate yet it looks so simple. I’m in awe how you create such beautiful items.
Btw, I totally dig your e-stamps!

It has been too long since I have visited….haven’t had much extra time to visit my favorite blogs 🙂 But I see you have been up to many wonderful things. Your fused glass is very cool…what a fun new interest !!

The whole thing is one image (1 jpg). I laid it out in illustrator (text, little guy reading, and the 2 sides of the notebook)and saved for web!

This is the greatest notebook! I just started grad school to be a counselor, and I can just see my own personal journal between those pages 🙂 Thank yo for sharing it with us. You are so talented!

Oh the beauty of nature and how it instills in us such peace. The strength of the tree trunk and how it supports all the limbs and leaves of the tree with such love. And as the seasons change it drops it leaves with the beautiful colors of change to prepare itself for new spring growth. And new life. Just like ourselves as we go through our lifes changes shedding old thoughts and habits preparing for new growth in ourselves. It is not always easy. Just like the strong trunk stays firm and strong during the spring rains and the winter snows we stay strong during our own personal storms of life. What a beautiful journal to write down our memories of those storms and be able to look back in the spring of our change to see how we have grow and survived.
We may be weak for a season then strength abounds.

When I take the time to look and to really see and to apply my "foolish" imagination, there are worlds within worlds within worlds to be discovered.

When I allow my eyes to be excited and fascinated and pleased at what they see, I begin a journey, inventing a path to the place I choose to go; and magic happens!
