Snow flitters…

March 10, 2008 · 1 Comment

I lived in Chicago, IL for 17 years and every time it snowed I would moan and groan.

We finally got some snow flitters, it even made me smile this time!
This picture goes to my family in Venezuela, so they can see.

my house with snow

This is my home now, in Nashville, TN and spring has already started…
…more to show in the next post.

Song for Heroes,

Soul,
 sombra, mi SOL

Share a song!
Say so long to Solace.
Show your soul to the sun.
Silence to the shadows.
Some sounds are so soft
and some so very strong.
Salute to those that sing
for they are the heroes!

Commence once more,

March 5, 2008 · Leave a Comment

Daylight lengthens,
Sunshine stretches and spreads,
Buds raise their faces towards radiant rays.
Dormant seeds begin to open and emerge forth.
Newborns appear, arise, bud, come out, dawn and emerge.
For now the days have widen and swelled letting spring happen again…

Grand Jeté!

March 3, 2008 · Leave a Comment

“LEAP” was the topic posted on the 29th of February (“bissextile day“ or “leap day“) for the weekly illustration challenge called “IF” – ILLUSTRATION FRIDAY.

A leap through the air, in a full out split, flying across the landscape… a Grand Jeté!

It portrays <a great leap in life!> perhaps in the “right direction”…

Art Statement

When I take the time to look and to really see and to apply my "foolish" imagination, there are worlds within worlds within worlds to be discovered.

When I allow my eyes to be excited and fascinated and pleased at what they see, I begin a journey, inventing a path to the place I choose to go; and magic happens!
