Metamorphous…

Glass-drawing-d-LisaRivasThe tile to the right was created by drawing onto a glass surface that had been coated with very thin layer of colored glass powder. I drew the image by scratching into the surface with a sharp tool, I also used 2 different colors of powder glass and drew again. Once the drawing was finished it was annealed / fused in a kiln. This glass piece measures 6″ x 6″.

I then scanned the
tile and changed the colors and texture digitally.

Next will be to print this
and then do a photo transfer onto another surface.

More to come…

The Burlington Map wire view
This is one of my day jobs, illustrating & drawing maps. At times these maps can get very intricate and they have to be clear and precise, a design challenge at times.

Vector graphics is the use of geometrical primitives such as points, lines, curves, and shapes or polygon(s), which are all based upon mathematical equations, to represent images in computer graphics.

I can change the color of strokes (lines) or fills with the an action click! At the right is a wire image of the 2 color map below, it is a vector drawing.

I am always open for this kind of work.
Contact me if you need a map or a diagram!

Air into Air…breeze!

February 27, 2009 · 27 Comments

Air with air, the air moved,
now and then the breezes became.

Here with there, the swallowtail flew,
up and over – down and under.

Dawn with dusk, the maple seed spun,
Air into air the wind was born.

…the custom cahiers have found a home with lucky Carol Adamec.

Carol is a fabulous “wordsmith” and “painter”, multi-gifted and hard working.
You can see her work and words at her blog: ART by CAROL ADAMEC

Cahier give-away to Carol Adamec

Carol has been a dear friend of mine for over 20 years! She
is the person that has help me express myself through words, there
was a time in my life it created panic and terrible fear to write
something! To put words to my work – to even talk, I thought I could just stay visual.

Having a blog has been a challenge… it has been an incredible
learning experience. Even leaving comments at your sites and blogs was
hard at first 🙂 Now you can’t keep me still.

Today, I still request Carol’s professional help when needed… she is my “ghost writer”.

Art Statement

When I take the time to look and to really see and to apply my "foolish" imagination, there are worlds within worlds within worlds to be discovered.

When I allow my eyes to be excited and fascinated and pleased at what they see, I begin a journey, inventing a path to the place I choose to go; and magic happens!
