Abejas de Miel pendant by Lisa Rivas

So I waited up til Monday, July 7th. at 12:00 AM,

to give every one a chance.

And the lucky winner for the “Abejas de Miel”
-The Honey Bees- pendant is: Valaine
visit her wonderful blog: www.silentdreamer.net/blog
for it is definitely a winning proposition!

There will be more “give-a-ways” coming up again.
Winning is not everything, but the effort to win is. Zig Ziglar

Valaine is the winner!

Kindness in ourselves is the honey that blunts the sting of unkindness in another.
Walter Savage Landor, 1775 – 1864

A “Spoonful of Honey” a day keeps free radicals at bay.

More about honey:
Many have found “local raw honey” helpful for its positive effects against allergies and hay fever.
One or two teaspoons last thing at night can help with insomnia.
Also apply freely over burns. It cools, removes pain and aids fast healing without scarring.
Apart from being a salve and an antibiotic, bacteria simply cannot survive in honey.

Blueberry Season…

…peaks in July! And they are native only to North America.
July is “National Blueberry Month” in the United States and Canada.
Blueberries, prove that good things can come in small packages.
They are one of the richest sources of antioxidants,
full of anthocyanins
— the compounds responsible for their blue hue —
known to reduce heart disease and cancer in humans.

Your mother may have told you carrots would keep your eyes bright as a child, but as an adult, it looks like fruit is even more important for keeping your sight. Eating 3 or more servings of fruit per day may lower your risk of age-related macular degeneration (ARMD), the primary cause of vision loss in older adults.

Custom e-Stamps!

July 2, 2008 · 2 Comments

Upon corresponding (via e-mail) with Walter Logeman about featuring him on my
blog he requested if I could make him a web-eStamp from one of his
pieces, preferably a circle piece. I went and reviewed the 1000 Sketches! to see the circles:

There’s a Thousand Sketches Video for easy viewing of the sketches! click here…

New Z-Land…

July 1, 2008 · 1 Comment

Walter Logeman is a "TOTAL" web find all the way from New Zealand!
I came across him through a "Yahoo group" that troubleshoots cutting-edge digital printing issues, with an excellent product called InkAid. I’ve used it extensively.

He is a certified Psychotherapist.
Psychotherapy comes from the Greek words for "soul" and "attending".

It describes well the work he does: "attending the soul"
He had attended my work by featuring me on his blog,
with my Mud Pie II web-eStamp. Thank you, Walter!

His work intrigued and fascinated me. He had done a "Thousand Sketches!"  a self-challenge project he began in the spring of 2006 and completed in the spring of 2007! 1000 sketches done on a "PC Tablet"  and then posted them on a blog. He recorded his learning process about art & artists and his visits to galleries in Australia, New Zealand and the U.S.A.

Walter considers the circle a symbol of fertility and solidity,
as a child he had an obsession of drawing "thousands" of yellow circles.
Could it be trying to create drops of "SUN" light?

Please go and see his work at: www.walterlogeman.com

Also, return here tomorrow and see what I designed for him …a few custom Web-eStamps!

Art Statement

When I take the time to look and to really see and to apply my "foolish" imagination, there are worlds within worlds within worlds to be discovered.

When I allow my eyes to be excited and fascinated and pleased at what they see, I begin a journey, inventing a path to the place I choose to go; and magic happens!
