Flit, flutter or fly?

February 7, 2008 · 1 Comment

Most flowers and plants have “the desire” to FLY, believe me! Remember the purple-red Oxalis?

Watch their petals and leaves, they act like small wings fluttering to the breezes and rising to the sun.
Their seeds manage to flit from here to there. Some even manage to glide on a little wisp of air.

They are born to the light and air, bearing the hope to spirit themselves into LIFE!

All Ovals II

February 4, 2008 · 1 Comment

“The Ovals” had become friendly upon their first visit at the Oval Throne.
No one had sat on anyone for that would not have been cool, Sonny!
As a matter of fact the “smooth eggs” had doubled in quantity and the “hairy coconut” was not too comfortable.

His discomfort was that they were all in this “big oval” and all very close together!
Was this just another kind of visit? Or was something going on he wasn’t aware of?

Romantic Cabbage

February 1, 2008 · 3 Comments

I found this “exotic flower” at the grocery store, “a cabbage” with a long stem.

Once arranged in a vase with water and some palm leaves it held up very well, for about 10 days.

There was no Cabbage Soup or Cold Slaw for this one.
It had been destined for a romantic experience with “baby breath”!

Visiting Ovals I

January 31, 2008 · 1 Comment

The shy hairy coconut was egged on by the smooth eggs
to take a seat at “The Ovals Throne.”

Somehow they will all end up in the same place again…

Keep visiting for this saga will continue…

Art Statement

When I take the time to look and to really see and to apply my "foolish" imagination, there are worlds within worlds within worlds to be discovered.

When I allow my eyes to be excited and fascinated and pleased at what they see, I begin a journey, inventing a path to the place I choose to go; and magic happens!
