Listen to this speech  of 12 year old Severn Cullis-Suzuki to the United Nations…
This speech happened 16 years ago, in 1992!
It is about you………. us and our world.

Make this video go around the world. Let everybody listen to her and act in the right way.

So where is Severn now? According to this Wikipedia
article she graduated from Yale in 2002, hosted a television program
called Suzuki’s Nature Quest on the Discovery channel, launched an
Internet-based think tank called The Skyfish Project. In 2006 she went
back to graduate school at the University of Victoria to study ethnobotany, and is still an
active environmentalist.

Visit this link for the interview of Severn by The Collage Foundation.

Captived There is geometry in the humming of the strings,
there is music in the spacing of the spheres.

Who is Roy G. Biv?

September 23, 2008 · 2 Comments

Fly-Buzz by LisaRivas

Color is the visible manifestation
of light’s wavelength.
Roy G. Biv is a mnemonic*
for the sequence of hues in
the visible spectrum, in rainbows,
and in order from longest
to shortest wavelength:

Red, Orange, Yellow, Green,

Blue, Indigo and Violet.

White light contains all colors, a “PRISM” can divide the colors and make them appear!

 “Prizm Buzz” e-Stamp
• fused glass – illustration printed as an archival pigment print, 100% rag paper

Combining image layers with different blending modes,
in graphic applications will have similar “visible spectrum” effects!

*Mnemonic is something intended to assist the memory, as a verse or formula.

Mnemosyne the name of the goddess of memory in Greek mythology.
Zeus and Mnemosyne slept together for nine consecutive nights and thereby created the nine Muses.

Art Statement

When I take the time to look and to really see and to apply my "foolish" imagination, there are worlds within worlds within worlds to be discovered.

When I allow my eyes to be excited and fascinated and pleased at what they see, I begin a journey, inventing a path to the place I choose to go; and magic happens!
